Chapter 2 in Transforming Organizations in Disruptive Environments, 2022, pp 21-32 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter sees transformation as making choices in increasingly complex environments. It describes what complexity is and how it effects transformation. It shows why transformation must proceed in an incremental manner learning about complexity as transformation proceeds. It also describes the importance of developing knowledge about the organization as transformation proceeds. This chapter concludes by describing how to organize a collaborative team to develop such knowledge and contribute to the transformation. What you will learn here is how to arrange your team to carry out a transformation in small steps.
