Abstract: Abstract The fourth industrial revolution (i4.0) is transforming the workplace in every sector of the economy, including transport and logistics, with many jobs expected to decline over time while creating new jobs and spurring growth in some existing jobs. With changing employment comes the need for new skills. This chapter provides an overview of the impact of i4.0 on the transport and logistics sector worldwide and in Australia. Several case studies from Australia are presented to provide insights on how Australia is coping and expected to manage in the future to meet this technological challenge.
