Chapter Chapter 5 in Future of Tourism in Asia, 2021, pp 65-75 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract One of the most significant benefits of tourism is the reduction of poverty. The chapter goes into depth on sustainable tourism, livelihoods, and economies in Bangladesh and India associated with the Sundarbans. The writers include almost all of the components of sustainable tourism that represent economic predictions and development. As a result, being aware of culturally sensitive issues can help to establish a bridge of reverence between hosts and visitors, as well as local confidence and pride. Under the ambit of sustainable tourism, both Bangladesh and India must change policy focus from development to equality, paving the way for strong institutions’ competence for regulating the tourist industry and allocating assets to support ‘pro-poor growth’ policies and activities.
