Abstract:
Abstract Higher education in India has gone through several changes to reach its present state of performance, but presently due to globalization and the entry of foreign universities into the domestic market, there is a tough competition to maintain standards with foreign universities. The sustainability of the Indian universities is only through the attainment of the competitive advantage in business, in which Innovation has the main role. Innovation is a tool to succeed in this fast-paced world. The main purpose of this book is to give evidence as to how human resources management practices influence the knowledge management processes and the influence of knowledge management processes on innovation in higher educational institutes. The book will suggest means to reinforce the human resource management practices and knowledge management processes in encouraging innovativeness in Higher Education. Moreover, the knowledge management-based innovation model developed can be directly applied in the higher educational institutes.
