Chapter Chapter 1 in Growth Mechanisms and Sustainability, 2021, pp 1-7 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The steel industry is one of the oldest traditional industries. It is also among the industries that have grown most sustainably since the First Industrial Revolution, becoming a pillar of the global economy. After World War II, the steel industries of the East Asian countries expanded remarkably in tandem with these countries’ strong overall economic growth, and the center of modern global steel production shifted to East Asia.
