Chapter 6 in Internet Philanthropy in China, 2021, pp 223-263 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The American charitable spirit has a long, rich history in the United States, which is greatly influenced by the country’s historical background and political system. Since entering the 21st century and the era of innovation, Internet enterprises have assumed more social responsibility towards philanthropy, and formed a distinctly American Internet philanthropy model. This includes a number of large tech enterprises such as Facebook, Twitter, Paypal, and Google.
