Abstract: Abstract This chapter brings this journey through the analysis of the data provided by the narration of the members of Italian and Australian Transition Initiatives including the perception of Degrowth more than ten years after its publication, how the 3 Rs of resilience can intertwine with the 8Rs of Degrowth, the sense of community, the complexity of dynamics between members, the sense of trust, reciprocity, and future outcomes of these long-term realities. 2020, our present and its intertwining with the future, as the chapter title suggests, seems to have started as a prelude to an even more serious crisis than the one (never completely overcome) occurred in 2008. The present, (past) and the expectations for the future will be narrated by the members these initiatives as well as their commentary and criticisms of the approaches from Latouche’s degrowth and others to the meaning of resilience.
