Chapter Chapter 1 in Microfinance to Combat Global Recession and Social Exclusion, 2022, pp 3-10 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The protracted recession at the world’s so-called developed and developing economies has drawn the attention of the policy-makers around the globe in order to usher with solutions. As the big industrial houses are not interested to invest boldly, it is required to solve the issue through the microfinance networks which will be able to increase the productivities of the small and medium enterprises that will be ultimately leading to solve the recession problem as well as ensuring social inclusion. The present edited book has aimed to address the issue in compiling chapters from academicians of different countries of the world. The essence of the covered studies suggests that microfinance activities may be a tool for combating economic recessions and improving the performance of the microfinance institutions. With respect to the role of microfinance upon social inclusion, the studies in general opine that microfinance activities have been proved to be the panacea of social exclusion.
