Abstract:
Abstract The unprecedented situation created by COVID-19 pandemic the regional economy of Punjab has been hit hard as it has happened globally because of disruption of supply chains, interruption in production systems, and fall in demand due to fall of income of the people and also due to fear of life created in their mind by the response of governments. In this paper, an attempt has been made to understand the phenomenon of revival of the Punjab economy. The paper is divided into four sections. Section one deals with the governance structure of the State. Section two concentrates on the strategy to deal with in-migrants into and out-migrants from the State. Section three deals with handling of economy during the lockdown. The last section concentrates on the revival strategy which should be adopted by the State Government.
