Abstract:
Abstract The main purpose of urbanization is to improve the living environment and social security system for residents as well as the efficiency of urban management and resource allocation. Urbanization will also bring about agricultural industrialization and the change of peasants’ life styles. Unlike the urbanization of developed countries in Europe and America which was completed in the industrial era, China’s urbanization has its own characteristics and advantages in the information age, especially in the age of internet of things. Township informatization and infrastructure should be built as an organic whole and the full application of internet of things technology can provide a good environment of living, education, medical care and employment for rural urbanization, which will enhance the attractiveness of township employment, absorb the rural working population, alleviate urban employment pressure and prevent the excessive population expansion in big cities.
