Chapter Chapter 4 in Spillover and Feedback Effects in Low Carbon Development, 2021, pp 105-174 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Since the beginning of reform and opening up, China’s economy has maintained rapid growth, while carbon emissions kept spiking. Some scholars think that interregional economic spillover effects are an important drive of China’s rapid economic growth (Bai et al. 2012). Accordingly, interregional carbon emission spillover effects should also play an important role in China’s carbon emissions. Hence, many studies in recent years examine the interregional economic or carbon emission spillover effects in China, with a view to providing valuable information for coordinated regional economic development or carbon reduction.
