Abstract:
Abstract This chapter outlines theoretical and empirical works on the relationship between financial development and economic growth within the context of China. It critically evaluates different theories to understand different linkages between financial development and national economic growth in China. The article investigates the causal relationship between regional financial development and economic growth in China. The article attempts to find the development characteristics of regional finance and interaction mechanism between financial development and economic growth from microeconomic perspective with a special reference to Beijing.
