Abstract:
Abstract Globally financial inclusion holds prime significance to involve population outside the privileges of banking facilities into banking networks. It plays a predominant role in the progress of a nation. A large section of the population residing in rural and urban locations throughout the world still remains outside the coverage of the authorized financial system. Over the years vital initiatives are being undertaken from regional level to global level to involve disadvantaged people not entitled to enjoy the privileges of banking facilities included under benefits extended by the banking system to fulfill the target of financial inclusion. This chapter vividly deals with the background of the research problem and provides a brief introduction of research elements with cardinal focus on the necessity of this research work followed by the scope of the study. The final segment of the chapter relates to the structure of the book.
