Abstract: Abstract With the advent of knowledge and innovation-prone competitiveness in various sectors of business, the Gig economy is the contingent input for prosperity and growth of business adding along the cost-effective element as well. On one hand, this Gig phenomenon is creating multidimensional short-term learning and earning opportunities for the job seeker, and on the other hand, it is also creating risk and uncertainty about their future which can significantly affect their long-term commitments in social relationships as well. Presented chapter is an inclusive approach to cover various dimensions, elements and components of both bright and dark sides of Gig economy along with its effects on market and on traditional payroll base employment.
