A chapter in Sustainability in the Gig Economy, 2022, pp 49-64 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract An appropriate starting point to comprehend stakeholders’ role in sustainable innovation is to disentangle the antecedents, management, and potential sustainable innovation outcomes. This chapter presents an interpretative framework of extant literature. Specifically, it addresses the following questions related to the inter-organizational resource-based management of sustainable innovation: (a) with whom to work; (b) when to work; (c) how to work together; (d) what challenges organizations should learn to face. Theoretical and practical implications of our framework are discussed. Attention will be devoted to stakeholder involvement in sustainability in the context of the gig economy.
