Chapter Chapter 3 in A Forest Environment Tax Scheme in Japan, 2022, pp 45-77 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The 2018 tax reforms saw the establishment of the forest environment tax as a national tax. The Forestry Agency and forestry organizations had been actively working toward this goal since 2003. It took 15 years before the Kochi Prefecture introduced the forest environment tax as a prefectural tax, ahead of the rest of Japan.
