Abstract:
Abstract This final chapter of this book synthesises its research findings and clarifies its implications for further research and policymaking. It presents the key determinants of the public acceptability of congestion charging in the city of Beijing and discusses the extent to which Western notions of public acceptability are transferable to a different context. The chapter starts with the research questions the thesis answers.
