Chapter Chapter 5 in The Restructuring of Global Value Chains, 2022, pp 239-284 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Enterprise upgrading is a process. The upgrading ways can also be understood as upgrading paths or types. Some studies have classified them into different categories. According to the literature review in this book, the research on enterprise upgrading is still in the qualitative analysis stage, the connotation has not been discussed deeply, and the understanding is narrow. Most of the literature focuses on OEM enterprises, and no operational definition is provided.
