A chapter in The Platform Economy, 2022, pp 243-252 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The dissemination of digital information platforms has made it possible to identify the difficulties of regulation requiring a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach. The point is that their regulation has at least three aspects: the “information-digital dimension”, related to the regulation of the use of information technologies (including digital) proper; the “economic dimension”, related to the regulation of the use of information technologies in the relevant sector of the economy; and the “general macroeconomic dimension”, related to the comprehensive regulation of the economy as a whole. At the same time, it is important to ensure the unity and interconnection of regulation in all aspects, because it is this approach will provide not only a unified system in regulation, but will allow counteracting the market monopolization both within individual sectors and in the economy as a whole. The article approaches the ways of implementing such issue. This chapter was prepared within the framework of the RDIF grant № 18-29-14025 on “Legal regulation of genomic research and the use of its results: a comparative legal aspect of research”.
