A chapter in The Platform Economy, 2022, pp 365-378 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this paper, the issues that arise during the collection of data of digital platform users and the problems of ensuring their confidentiality are investigated. In particular, the article considers the problem of legal regulation in the international community of collecting personal data for criminal purposes. Based on the analysis of the General Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data (hereafter—GDPR), recommendations are made to improve the work of operators of foreign digital platforms if they offer goods or services on the territory of the European Union, as well as the basic principles and requirements for the operator of personal data processing.
