Abstract: Abstract Chapter 2 examines who are the principal participants of marketplace lending in Australia. Further, this chapter analyses and compares the offerings of marketplace lenders to those of the traditional banks. The potential advantages and disadvantages of these offerings compared to the traditional banks are also analysed.
