Abstract:
Abstract This chapter identified the main agents in the establishment of the Indonesian FSA that were coming from the Indonesian MOF and Bank Indonesia. This chapter provided a story that agents were involved in the institutional shaping of the FSA. The circumstances were the independent status of Bank Indonesia and the reduced authority of both Bank Indonesia and the government in financial sector supervision. Ultimately, the Indonesian FSA formally emerged in 2011 after an evolution of more than a decade. FSA has evolved to reach its current level of power and key ideas.
