Chapter Chapter 20 in History of Economic Ideas in 20 Talks, 2022, pp 145-150 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Chicago economics has had a long tradition since the late nineteenth century and is still rapidly expanding nowadays. With limited space we have to confine ourselves to the second half of the twentieth century—a particular period when it attracted attention around the world. Thus, only Milton Friedman, George Stigler, Gary Becker, and Robert Lucas will be introduced.
