Chapter Chapter 1 in Bayesian Statistical Modeling with Stan, R, and Python, 2022, pp 3-12 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract We will give a general overview on what a model is and how to conduct statistical modeling. Understanding these general concepts is necessary to be able to build your own model. We will introduce the processes to get ready for data analysis. Some of these processes will be the parts of a workflow in the following sections in this book. We also introduce the recommended statistical modeling workflow adopted in this book. From this section, the readers might find that the statistical modeling is more similar to engineering than arts.
