Chapter Chapter 10 in China’s Reform: History, Logic, and Future, 2022, pp 117-138 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Notions about the “myth” of China’s reform misunderstand the inherent economic logic of the reform and opening-up processes. The basic principles, analytical framework, and theories of modern economics can be employed to analyze the inherent logic of China’s reform and development in order to examine how China can make a smooth transition from traditional institutions inimical to economic development to favorable institutions given its current conditions.
