Abstract:
Abstract Finance and taxation involve every aspect of an economy. Most of China’s fiscal reforms have played core roles in the nation’s overall social and economic reforms. This chapter reviews the paths taken by China’s fiscal and tax system reform so far and proposes directions for future reform and development based on an understanding of the origins of the current system.
