A chapter in The Chinese Path Toward a Leaner Government, 2023, pp 145-161 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract According to Prof. Li Yining’s theory of the dual transition of the economy, China is transforming itself from a planned economy to a socialist market economy and from a traditional agricultural society to an industrial society. Over the past three decades, the dual transition of the Chinese economy has shaped a unique path of reform and opening up and paved the way for the country’s sustainable development. In this process, reform has been carried out in all aspects of China’s economic and social endeavors. It has continued to add impetus to the sustained growth of the economy.
