Abstract: Abstract As the flagship project of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is still facing a lot of institutional risks. This chapter tries to scientifically study the risk issues facing the construction of the CPEC, and identify the key independent variables that affect it, which can help scholars understand the causal mechanism of various problems in the CPEC, and put forward practical policy recommendations to minimize risks faced by CPEC construction and maximize the benefits of corridor construction. The only way to design policies with an overarching vision that can meet the challenges posed by dynastic politics in Pakistan is to have a good grasp of the basic mode of this kind of politics in Pakistan, and understand what its impact might be on CPEC and China’s interests. At the same time, the political transformation of many countries along the “Belt and Road is” have the challenge of lagging political transformation, Pakistan is not an exception to dynastic politics.
