A chapter in China's Road and Aging Population, 2023, pp 299-307 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasizes that the population aging of China is increasing rapidly, and the development of the pension industry is still relatively lagging. It is necessary to improve the system and promote the diversified development of the pension industry so that all elderly people can have a sense of security, support, happiness, and peace of mind. The pension industry, also known as the “elderly service industry”, refers to a collection of industrial departments that provide corresponding products and services to meet the special life needs and spiritual needs of the elderly, including life care, medical care, sports and fitness, culture and entertainment, finance, tourism and other industries.
