Chapter Chapter 16 in The Chinese Sharing Economy, 2021, pp 161-174 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In China, the concept of a “sharing economy” was first proposed in the Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Platforms to Support Widespread Innovation and Entrepreneurship (GF [2015] No. 53) issued by the State Council on September 26, 2015. It is pointed out in the document that, given the rapid growth of the sharing economy worldwide, China must develop its sharing economy and cultivate new areas of economic growth, in order to seize development opportunities and amass new forces to drive economic and social development. At the same time, it would be necessary to promote novel “sharing economy service models” that integrate and utilize idle, dispersed private resources to stimulate entrepreneurship and innovation.
