A chapter in Employee Green Behavior, 2025, pp 259-276 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This research delves into the pivotal role of employees in advancing environmental sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) within organizations. Employees play a crucial role in the implementation and enforcement of sustainability policies, as well as in identifying environmental risks and opportunities. Environmental initiatives require collaborative efforts between organizations and employees in today’s landscape. Leadership Commitment to Environmental Sustainability sets the organization’s tone; frequent training and education programs help enhance knowledge and create more employee awareness about environmental issues; ultimately, employee engagement and attitudes help create a green culture.
