Chapter Chapter 9 in Digital Currencies and the Green Economy, 2025, pp 173-185 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Carbon emissions from electricity generation, transportation, and various industrial processes lead to climate changeclimate change, extreme weather events, sea-level rise, air pollution, and other environmental damage. If not controlled timely then, such emissions may cause a huge loss to the entire ecosystem and the future of humanity. This chapter covers the most critical issue of how to address the rising level of carbon emissions through carbon reduction and offsetting strategies. Through a detailed analysis of both methods, the chapter explored the importance of twin strategies in meeting sustainable goals and combating climate change. It also highlights how individuals, corporations, and policymakers can move towards a carbon-neutral future together through their respective endeavours.
