Abstract: Abstract This chapter describes a transformative impact of digitalisation on public governance, describing its evolution from early e-government initiatives to today’s integrated, citizen-centric digital government models. It highlights how technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data, and cloud computing are reshaping public service delivery, policy-making, and citizen engagement. The chapter discusses how digital governance enhances transparency, accountability, inclusivity, and efficiency through tools like interoperable data systems, digital identity platforms, and open data initiatives. It also explores the strategic role of good digital governance in fostering trust, ensuring ethical use of data, and promoting equitable access to services. Key challenges including misinformation, cybersecurity threats, the digital divide, and AI ethics are explained alongside strategies for effective implementation, including smart governance solutions, participatory policymaking, and robust regulatory frameworks. Ultimately, the chapter emphasises that successful digital transformation in public governance requires strong institutional coordination, ethical safeguards, and long-term vision to create resilient, inclusive, and sustainable governance systems in the digital age.
