Abstract: Abstract This chapter is based on the article “The transparency challenge of blockchain in organizations” by Johannes Sedlmeir, Jonathan Lautenschlager, Gilbert Fridgen, and Nils Urbach, published in Electronic Markets in 2022 ( https://doi.org/10.1007/s12525-022-00536-0 ). Johannes, a professor in information systems at the University of Münster, with a focus on security and trust, as well as statistics, kindly agreed to summarize their joint research and serves as the corresponding author for this chapter.
