Green Building Certifications

Abstract:
Abstract Green building certifications vary around the world but they share a common purpose and have pros and cons. Recent trends have seen mainstreaming green building certifications for new development but older, existing buildings are slower to certify. There are also differences in scoring methodology among different certification systems and they are not directly comparable. Some retailers have even adopted their own green standards for their stores. There are also some notable successes and it is important to note that they will continue to evolve.
