Chapter 8 in Chaos in Complex Dynamical System: Theory and Application, 2026, pp 127-139 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Time-delay is frequently encountered in a variety of practical chaotic systems, such as chaos communication [146–150]. The behaviors of time-delay chaotic system are greatly different from those of the original system [151–155]. Self-time-delay synchronization (STDS) implies that the synchronization between the time-delay system and the original system while maintaining the structure and parameters of systems unchanged, thus these various problems produced by time-delay in practice are avoided. This chapter explores the characteristics and synchronization of time-delay complex chaotic system, and includes three sections. Section 8.1 presents the characteristics of time-delay complex Lorenz system. Section 8.2 studies STDS of time-delay coupled complex chaotic system and its applications to communication.
