Abstract:
Abstract The “Smart Management Research Group” of the Japan Institute of Production Management is researching methods to streamline production management operations for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) using partner companies as case studies. The objective of this group is to propose new systems that resolve various problems stemming from labor shortages in manufacturing firms. This paper reports on the achievements of the group, focusing specifically on the smart tools developed, covering their background, architecture, prototype system overview, and evaluation.
