Chapter Chapter 5 in Foundations of Quantitative Happiness, 2025, pp 101-117 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, we conducted an empirical study to elucidate whether the factors that determine people’s level of life satisfaction in Japan and China are the same. Based on previous studies related to the determinants, a multivariate analysis is conducted using level of life satisfaction as the explained variable to determine what factors determine the level of life satisfaction.
