Abstract:
Abstract Advancement in technology is leading to transformation in the socio-economic and political setup at the global level. The field of financial services has seen significant change in the last few decades due to ever increase in the use of technology here. The efficiency and extent of financial services have gone up, with technology playing an instrumental role in enabling access to financial services in remote areas. A paramount increase in the usage of financial services is seen by the unbanked and underbanked people recently due to technology making financial services reach the doorstep of this segment. The synergy brought in by the combination of technology and finance in the financial world in the new form of business organization called Fintech led to the emergence of this study. This study is a comprehensive systematic literature review from various databases like Scopus, Web of Science, IEEE, Sage Publications, and EBSCOhost. The research depicts that FinTech has improved financial inclusion in China by reducing the number of unbanked people. Thus, the government should enforce various regulatory reforms to promote fintech and remove complete financial exclusion from the country.
