Chapter Chapter 26 in A Theoretical Foundation for Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship, 2025, pp 261-269 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract With the deepening of the new round of technological revolution, digital technology, as a key strategic resource for enterprise innovation and entrepreneurship, is comprehensively affecting innovation-driven entrepreneurial activities. In view of how digital technology affects innovation-driven entrepreneurship, the theory of digital technology affordance provides a new and powerful theoretical perspective. This theory is a good blend of technological determinism and social constructionism for theorizing the use of digital technology to explain its functions and effects on actors’ behaviors (Majchrzak et al., 2016; Senyo et al., 2021). It can be used as a basic theory to analyze innovation-driven entrepreneurship in the context of the digital economy.
