A chapter in Trends and Challenges of Electronic Finance, 2025, pp 261-276 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This article attempts to examine the influence of emerging technologies, specifically FinTech, on the MSME sector. Since India’s MSME market is evolving distinctly. The sector has been a primary engine behind massive job creation as well as innovative start-ups. Despite its valuable input, MSMEs face difficulties in obtaining structured credit, thanks to the financial instability to judge their viability. FinTech companies, on the other hand, are improving it by rendering quick and inexpensive funding to these neglected enterprises. As the world looks for innovation in all areas, India’s MSME sector is also moving toward industry 4.0, which will let it get access to financing, payment convenience, and a sparsely populated economy. This study attempts to investigate the current state of the MSME sector in India as well as the influence of FinTech on its future expansion.
