Abstract: Abstract Over the years, the GCC and the MENA region have witnessed gradual adaptation of technology in various spheres of business with a significant impact on the financial sector. The regional growth in the electronic finance (e-finance) sector, facilitated by FinTech growth, led to overall economic prosperity of several GCC and MENA countries. The objective of the paper is to explore the evolution, growth, and the future of e-finance in the region. The paper starts with an introduction to e-finance followed by various advantages associated with e-finance moves into its gradual evolution. The paper then shifts its focus toward financial technology (FinTech) with a brief introduction followed by its evolution and growth specific to the MENA region. The region under study considers the major countries in the Middle East and North Africa, (MENA). The paper finally concludes with a visualization of how the regional FinTech market is poised for significant growth in years to come.
