Exploitation

Chapter Chapter 5 in On Politicking, 2025, pp 65-79 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The fourth way people practice politicking is exploitation. This is a very general form of behavior, which is found at every social level and in every social domain. It's used here to highlight one domain in particular, which is the one where the material nature of the human nurturing environment, and in particular today's industrial technology, makes it possible to control the system of production and whole societies. The liberalist reading of the market is very different in that it talks about opportunity, not exploitation. This doesn't account for the expropriation of the value of what workers do by paying them wages, though, or how they respond.
