Chapter Chapter 7 in Conditional Order Statistics and Conditional Spacings, 2025, pp 189-229 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapterConditional Spacings is composed of four parts. The first part is mainly for the conditional spacingsSpacings|( and normalized conditional ones based on a series systemSeries System. In the second part, the case of the (normalized) conditional spacingsConditional Spacings based on unfailed components is investigated based on the fact that an $$(n-k+1)$$ ( n - k + 1 ) -out-of-nsystem or a general coherent systemGeneral Coherent System with certain signatureSignature just fails at certain time t. The third part is about the conditional spacings and their properties based on a series systemSeries System|( with n heterogeneous Exponential component lifetimes. In the last part, the generalized conditional spacings and their properties are investigated.
