Abstract: Abstract Human resource accounting (HRA) is a specialised field that focuses on quantifying the value of human resources within an organisation, offering insights into their contribution to the company’s overall value. The primary objectives of HRA are to assess and report the value of human assets, foster effective HR planning, and support investment in employee development. The significance of HRA lies in its potential to influence decision-making by providing a framework for evaluating the economic impact of human capital on organisational performance. Various methods and models, such as cost-based and value-based approaches, guide HRA practices, each with specific applications and limitations. Despite its advantages, HRA faces limitations, such as difficulties in standardising valuation methods. For managers and HR professionals, HRA serves as a tool to better understand and leverage human capital in strategic planning. Additionally, modern organisations encounter complex challenges in implementing HRA, necessitating innovative solutions and adaptive strategies.
