Abstract:
Abstract This chapter provides case studies of prominent e-commerce platforms and their associated financial payment systems. The chapter details the integration and functionality of payment systems with e-commerce platforms, using specific examples. It begins with Taobao and Alipay, exploring how these platforms work together to facilitate online shopping and payments. The chapter then covers Amazon and Amazon Pay, highlighting their roles in global e-commerce and digital payments. Similarly, eBay and PayPal are discussed in terms of their synergy in online marketplaces. Additionally, the chapter reviews JD.com and its payment solutions, as well as Huawei’s entry into the payment sector. These case studies illustrate the practical applications of financial technology in the e-commerce industry.
