A chapter in STEMM the Bleed, 2025, pp 75-99 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Harassment and Discrimination, in chapter four, are key topics in this work. But what did harassment and discrimination look like? Was it what we expected in the nature of outside abuse and curtailment of research projects or maybe something different in the form of inside colleague maltreatment? Did these women encounter situations in science where they felt disadvantaged or targeted just because they were women? And how do these women feel when they encounter the science culture: laissez faire, disadvantaged or just token women?
