Abstract: Abstract This chapter describes and explains how the empirical study in this research was conducted. The analysis presented in this book draws on empirical material collected through face-to-face interviews, followed by email or chat communication with interviewees for follow-up questions. After a brief introduction of the design of the empirical test, the chapter ends with several important selected results of the empirical research and an explanation on the limitations of this empirical research. In the legal research addressing the diversification of lenders’ risk in P2P lending in Vietnam, the socioeconomic conditions surrounding the P2P lending business have seldom been considered, as noted in Sect. 1.2 . In this chapter, the author aims to find measures to mitigate risks for P2P lenders using various means, including diversification. An empirical study of Vietnam’s P2P lending business is then conducted to assess the viability of these risk-mitigation measures, as proposed in Chap. 7 . This study examines the attitudes of potential lenders in P2P lending toward a mutual funding scheme, aiming to ascertain their willingness to participate in the scheme. It also delves into the impact of personal relationships among participants and the importance of professional management in overseeing the operation of the scheme.
