Chapter Chapter 8 in Crafting Efficiency in Managerial Costing System Design, 2024, pp 147-170 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Employing an effective managerial costing systems is integral to effective management. We assert that such an endeavor requires input from industry experts knowledgeable on the subject. The current iteration employs systems development and implementation experts to validate the process model developed. The primary focus, therefore, is on the implementation-centric validation iteration of the elaborated action design research approach. The research team who validated the process model comprised a new cohort of industry practitioners with relevant experience in managerial costing system development. In executing the applicable activities, the team verified and validated the business problem experienced and the fundamental approach to developing a solution. Subsequent hereto, the supportive artifacts of the process model were verified against defined design statements before the final validation of the cumulative and representative process model. This process model encompasses a contextual understanding of the system’s environment, developmental guides based on the initial three-pillar concept, and an integrated process flow, all working together to guide the overall developmental process.
