Chapter Chapter 8 in Emerging Technology and Crisis Management in The Halal Industry, 2024, pp 123-137 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Bringing technology and digital ways into Halal shopping is super important. The landscape of business and transactions has undergone a significant transformation with the advent of technology, particularly in the realm of digital transactions. In the context of Halal retailing, where adherence to Islamic principles is paramount, understanding the impact of technology on buying and selling becomes crucial. Halal retailing is grounded in Islamic principles, emphasizing the permissibility of products and services according to Islamic law. This includes adherence to specific dietary guidelines, ethical business practices, and social responsibility. The rise of digital commerce has undeniably transformed the retail business, opening the door for a smoother and faster purchasing experience. Digital transactions are becoming increasingly common in the Halal retail industry.
